I provide counselling on all topics relating to sexuality and sexual wellbeing. Taking a non-pathologizing and sex-positive approach, I integrate sex therapy tools into the client-centred therapeutic relationship. Working in an IFS-informed and self-compassion focussed way is particularly powerful for working through shame, something that many of us – through no fault of our own – feel in relation to our sexual desires and experiences.
I have significant experience supporting clients during their gender transition, as well as through “coming out” processes of all kinds. I warmly welcome survivors of sexual assault, whether they wish to actively process trauma in our sessions or simply have this aspect of their history acknowledged as they focus on other areas.
I work primarily (though not exclusively) with queer, trans* and other LGBTQI* clients, as well as kinky and poly individuals. My affirming presence and understanding of gender, sexual and relationship diversity supports my clients to work on whatever is current for them – whether or not it relates directly to their gender or sexual identities.
